Description

A lovely cornish scene in watercolour by renowned contemporary artist, Duncan Palmar. The scene is of a lone fisherman trudging back up the hill from the beach below, with a lone lobster pot in hand, with dormant small fishing boats lying at rest beside the track, the sea stretching away to the distance in the background. The painting is sympathetically mounted, glazed and framed with the frame measuring 50 x 42 cm (19.5″ x  16.5″). The painting itself measures 28 x 19 cm (11″ x  7.5″).

Duncan Palmar British Contemporary. Duncan Palmar was born in Hampshire in 1964. He became a full time artist aged only 19, his work heavily inspired by the Newlyn School of artists from the 19th century. Palmar is known for being able to expertly capture the movement and light changes found in coastal scenes. He now lives in Surrey but many of his finest works are of seascapes or scenes around the Devon and Cornish coastal coves.
