Description

A stunningly accurate painting by one of the foremost Devonshire painters of his era at the top if his game. This view is a beach scene, possibly of Perranporth in North Cornwall. looking out to a small island in the cove.  A few seagulls drift on the wind just near the shoreline and in the distance a couple of sailing boats are out at sea. The painting is framed in a decorative gesso frame and glazed. The frame measures 46 x 33 cm (18″ x 13″) and the picture itself is 37 x 24 cm (14.5″ x 9.5″).
