Description

A Beautiful example of this former local lady’s work. A burgundy canvas contemporary painting in oil of a ballerina in full flow. The movement captured in this painting is simply stunning. Splashes of colour are used to accentuate the dancer’s movements giving the whole canvas a feeling of life and vibrancy. The painting is frame-less and has been hung as is. The picture measures 70 x 50 cm.

Penny Warden used to live in Finchampstead as her husband was the vicar of St James’ Church in the village. Since moving to London Penny’s star has risen with her works now being highly sought after.  Her major break came in 2004 when she was chosen to exhibit her works in St Paul’s Cathedral next to the likes of Tracy Emin, Bill Viola, Craigie Aitchison and other renowned British artists. Her works have won praise from the likes of Desmond Tutu, Prince Philip, Condoleezza Rice among many others.
